“The Power Of A Conversation.”
Every year, I have the beautiful opportunity to return to Camp Heroes at Nanga Bush Camp in Dwellingup, run by Zero2Hero, and I truly love coming back each time.
This incredible initiative empowers young people to better understand their mental health, support their own wellbeing and step into becoming advocates and leaders within their communities.
Resilience is something that’s deeply personal to me and has played a significant role in my own journey. It’s a story I’m always grateful to share, especially with the Camp Heroes students.
Each year, I’m reminded of the power of bringing people together, sharing experiences and creating space to learn from one another. Connecting across different lived experiences, including disability and mental health, can open the door to greater understanding and new perspectives.
You never know what might come from a conversation — a new perspective, learning something new, discovering a passion, or even a friendship that lasts a lifetime. 🤍
